My Volvo 1800S is on My Classic Car

As I’ve reported on the blog for my Volvo 1800S (aka 64SAINT), it’s being featured in episode 5 of season 20 of My Classic Car with Dennis Gage. The preview has just gone up on YouTube Even the video still features 64SAINT… The full episode will be available on YouTube after it’s aired on various car-related TV channels. 64SAINT gets its own blog

After some futzing around with converting a professional website theme to GraffitiCMS (yes, I still like it and use it), and some hacking with a special HTTP module, I can now announce that the 64SAINT blog is live and ready for readers. My first one was a 1969 model (normally aspirated, two-litre) that I owned in England before I came over to the States in 1993. I eventually had to sell it in 1998 when it became...

The Daily Shoot 123

The next assignment from the Daily Shoot was “Find something that's so old it's almost timeless and make a photograph of it.” (Thursday, March 18, #ds123 ) I didn’t want to go the old calculator or slide rule route again. Perhaps the Curta ? The objection to that was it’s a little weird and, although of its time, not really ‘timeless’ per se . Nothing for it, then, but this... This is the celebrated Corgi The “Saint’s” Car , the Volvo 1800S, No. 258. Now hard to come by, but this is mine from when...
